Our Vintage Hill style bows are shaped after the early bows by famous bowyers of days passed.
Extremely narrow, (28 mm, just over an inch) at the widest point to just under half an inch at the string groove. 3 Layers of tempered bamboo in front of the hardwood Tigerwood Riser. Did we mention a vintage look? This is all wedged in between crystal clear glass. The best there is.
This Rebel has been glued in a 2-inch Backset. Making the bow more aggressive and faster. (But also less forgiving and a bit more difficult to brace )The nocks are re-enforced with a thin sliver of horn, and tiny, really small. Not for the fainthearted. Don't stump 'm in the dirt and break 'm.
The grip is per sec straight. no locater, no pistol, just straight and narrow, giving you pressure in the hand where it should. This grip is covered in a stitched and glued-on leather grip and very nice to hold. To emphasize the Ebony we have glued on ebony on top of the fades at the belly side, visible for the archer. A smashing effect!
We sprayed this Rebel with a semi-gloss 2 k varnish.
