Our Vintage Hill style bows are shaped after the early bows by famous bowyers of days passed.
Extremely narrow, (28 mm, just over an inch) at the widest point to just under half an inch at the string groove. 4 layers of tempered bamboo in front of the dished Limba Riser. Did we mention the vintage look? Perhaps the Myrtlewood veneer gave it away.
A straight glue-up, so when you receive the bow, it will have no string follow nor backset.
This makes this version of our Rebel by Fairbow even more forgiving and Hardhitting! and a pleasure to shoot!
The nocks are reinforced with a thin sliver of horn, and tiny, really small. not for the fainthearted. Don't stump 'm in the dirt and break 'm.
The grip is with a 1/4 inch dish, making the grip more intuitive to grasp. The dish giving you pressure in the hand where it should. Covered in a glued-on, reverse polished leather. Nice to hold.
We sprayed this Rebel with a semi-gloss 2 k varnish.
